Parking Permits
MAKING CHANGES TO EXISTING RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONES
The following information was provided by the Calgary Parking Authority – to go to the website and view more, please click here: City of Calgary Residential Parking
On May 9, 2017, City Council approved developments to the Calgary Traffic Bylaw, allowing the Residential Parking Permit (RPP) program to start using online permits instead of passes and hang tags for resident and visitor parking.
The basic program framework will remain the same. Residents will not be asked to pay any new fees and the new RPP system will not impact your eligibility to receive residential and/or visitor parking permits.
During this transition to digital permits, you will be asked to register for an online account (or contact us so we can set one up for you) during your regular renewal time.
Please keep in mind that if you aren’t able to use the online system to set up your account, you will need to present your documentation again after two years. During this transition, we will continue to mail you a reminder notice when you are eligible to renew your permit.
